40 years ago, the Cardinal company was set up by my father, André Cardinal, in Mernel in the Ille-et-Vilaine. Since then, the family firm has grown considerably and been joined by nine other companies to form the Cardinal Group, of which I am delighted to be CEO.
With a workforce of 550, today we take on major construction projects, including some of the largest in the region.
Building new homes remains our core business. We benefit from genuine expertise passed down through the generations; the durability and quality of our houses demonstrate as much.

Key dates:
- • 1969 :André Cardinal set up the company of the same name in Mernel to carry out structural work and bricklaying.
- • 1982 : Yves Cardinal, the founder's son, took over the business.
- • 1989 : Les Maisons Cardinal, specialising in the construction of new homes, was established in Redon (Ille-et-Vilaine).
